The team is now 26-23 overall this season. They must shake off the loss and stay focused going into the final stretch of the season.
The Rockets were led by Dragic who lead the team in two major statistical categories. Dragic scored 24 points to lead the team and added 8 assists, which also led the team. The Rockets started off scoring 30 points in the first and had a 4-point lead after the quarter. They then lost that lead in the 2nd as the Mavericks scored 30 while they had just 24 in the 2nd. The team then outscored the Mavs by 2 points in the second half to force overtime, but could not keep pace losing 10-8 in the OT periods.
The Mavericks are now 28-22 following their win against the Rockets. They improve their away record to 10-14 this season as well. Nowitzki, who scored 31 points in the contest, led the team. Marion grabbed 15 huge rebounds to contribute to the win while Kidd led the way in passing with 4 assists. The team scored over 25 points in two of the game’s periods. Their offense fell off in the second half after scoring 56 in the first, but still had enough to stay in the contest. In the end they were able to get the win in OT by playing just that much better than the Rockets.
