The Rockets continued their great home play as they won in Houston against a very good Thunder team. The final in the contest was 96-95 in favor of the Rockets who were led by Kevin Martin. The Rockets improved their overall record to 17-13 on the season while improving their home record to a fantastic 11-3 mark. They have proved that even the best of teams will have to bring their A+ game to Houston if they expect to leave with a victory.
The Rockets Kevin Martin scored 32 in the game to lead all Houston players. Samuel Dalembert collected 12 rebounds to lead the team as well while Kyle Lowry led the team with 9 assists. The team jetted out to an early lead outscoring the Thunder 29-13 in the first. They then gave up most of that lead, however, when they scored just 16 in the second compared to 31 Thunder points. The rest of the game stayed even through throughout.
The Thunder were led by Kevin Durant who frequently outscores his teammates. Durant scored 33 in the contest, which was the most from any player on either team. The Thunder remain as one of the NBA’s best with a 22-7 record on the season. They did drop their away record to 12-6 on the year with the loss on Wednesday. The Thunder have proven to be able to win on the road this season, but Houston has proven more strongly to be a very tough team to play at home.
